We are looking for an Engineering Manager who would be responsible for
Building a team, onboarding new talents, and growing people within an open and collaborative culture
Supporting their team to implement solutions that have emerged from cross-functional initiatives within an effective day-to-day agile working environment
Ensuring stability and further development of existing and new applications with the necessary tools and processes, aligned with company-wide standards and goals
Contributing to JobCloud’s strategy and implementing long-term technical strategies
What you will be doing
Build and run a trusting team around a product/project
Organize the team’s work and working environment to ensure frictionless individual contributions from team members.
Align team goals with the adjacent teams and foster cross-department collaboration to efficiently achieve common goals
Motivate, support, and fight for your team to ensure their productivity and overall happiness
Measure the performance inside the team, and provide tools and advice to engineers to enable them to grow their skills and professional careers
Help the team to write production-ready code that accounts for testability, readability, reusability, edge cases, security, and errors
Ensure stability, performance, and cost-efficiency of their team’s applications and services by actively monitoring their stack
Systematic and collaborative troubleshooting and error recovery, given the team’s operational data and monitoring philosophy
Expert on the team’s domain based on its core principles and architecture
Connect adjacent domains and derive effects for the project architecture and drive necessary collaborations
Proactively communicate their team’s roadblocks, delays, and deficiencies to stakeholders and provide potential solutions to those impediments
Regularly review a team’s processes and practices with other Lead Engineers, Engineering Managers, and the rest of the team.
Contribute to JobCloud’s mid- and long-term technology vision
What are we looking for
- Experience with people growth and people management
- Technical mentality and motivation to learn more about software development and cloud environments
- Experience in project management and time management with the ability to balance multiple initiatives
- Fluency in English
